▸ Drill bit

The most basic tool used to machine cylindrical holes in solid material. Material is removed through rotary and axial feed motion. Common types: twist drill (most common), center drill (drilling center holes), deep hole drill (machining holes with a large length-to-diameter ratio), gun drill, indexable drill bit (high efficiency).

▸ Roughing boring bar
Used for semi-finishing or roughing pre-drilled or pre-cast/forged holes, the main purpose is to quickly remove a large amount of allowance, preparing for finishing. Usage scenarios: Expanding the hole diameter to near the final size (leaving a finishing allowance); Improving the straightness and position of the hole; Machining holes with a large allowance.

▸ Finishing boring bar
Used for final finishing of holes after rough boring or semi-finishing, the main purpose is to obtain precise dimensional tolerances, high shape accuracy (roundness, cylindricity) and excellent surface roughness. Usage scenarios: Machining high-precision holes (such as bearing holes, mating holes); Correcting the geometric accuracy of the hole (straightness, roundness); Obtaining the required high surface finish.

▸ Grooving tool
Specifically used for turning or milling narrow and deep grooves on the surface of a workpiece (outer circle, inner hole or end face), or for cutting off bars. Usage scenarios: Turning outer circular grooves, inner hole grooves, end face grooves; Cutting off workpieces; Machining sealing grooves, return grooves, oil grooves, etc.

▸ End mill
A highly versatile rotary cutting tool with cutting edges mainly located on the cylindrical side and end face. Axial and radial feed can be performed. Usage scenarios: Milling planes (side walls, steps, small planes); Milling contours (two-dimensional, three-dimensional curves); Milling cavities (grooving); Milling keyways; Drilling (smaller diameter, spiral interpolation).

▸ Face mill
Mainly used for high-efficiency milling of large-area planes. Its diameter is usually much larger than that of an end mill, and the cutting edges are mainly distributed on the end face. Usage scenarios: Machining the large upper or lower surface of a workpiece; Plane milling requiring high flatness and high efficiency.

▸ Tap
Function: A forming tool used to machine internal threads in pre-drilled pilot holes.
Usage scenarios: Machining internal threads of various specifications (such as M6, M8, 1/4-20 UNC, etc.) in through holes or blind holes.
